Have You Tried Everything

But Still Feel Stuck?

Does This Sound Familiar?

I tried to do everything “right."
But something still felt unresolved.

  • The diets.

  • The supplements.

  • The appointments.

  • The protocols.

  • The constant researching and second-guessing.

And maybe the hardest part?

  • Watching something work for someone else…
while my body barely responds at all.

After a while, it starts to wear on you.

Not just physically. Emotionally too.

Because when nothing seems to hold, it’s easy to start wondering:

  • Am I missing something?

  • Am I not trying hard enough?

  • Why does my body react so differently?

I know that feeling because I lived it.

When My Health Progress Changed

For years, I focused on symptoms.

Like most people dealing with chronic illness, autoimmune issues, or chronic fatigue, I kept searching for the right method.

But eventually I noticed something strange:

  • Sometimes a treatment helped.

  • Sometimes the exact same treatment made things worse the next time.

  • Sometimes my body seemed unable to “hold onto” progress at all.

That inconsistency became impossible to ignore.

And it led me to a different question:

What if the problem isn’t just what we’re trying…
but whether the body is able to properly process and respond to it in the first place?

That question became the foundation of what I now call:

DISH - Defensive Individual Shield Hypothesis

Defensive

Protects Our Body

Individual

Unique to Everyone

Shield

Tool We Need

Hypothesis

My Educated Guess

A Different Starting Point

DISH is not built around the idea that the body is simply “broken.”

It explores the possibility that:

  • the body may actually be trying to protect itself

  • chronic inflammation may be a downstream response

  • and something earlier in the process may be affecting how the body interprets and responds to what it encounters

In other words:

What if your body isn’t failing
but struggling to process information correctly?

Because if the body’s “pre-sorting system” is disrupted, it could help explain why:

  • progress feels inconsistent

  • symptoms seem unpredictable

  • methods work temporarily… then stop

  • or nothing seems to work the way it should

That shift in perspective changed everything for me.

Not overnight.
Not magically.

But it gave me a framework that finally made sense of patterns I couldn’t explain before.

What is the DISH Framework?

DISH stands for Defensive Individual Shield Hypothesis.

It’s a perspective-based framework I’ve been developing from my own experience navigating chronic illness and searching for answers when conventional approaches weren’t enough.

  • The immune system may not be “broken

  • The immune system may be doing its job

  • But it may be working with incomplete or incorrect information

  • Which makes the end result the same: Body attacking self.

But from this perspective, what we call chronic inflammation may be better understood as:

👉 Compromised inflammation—acute inflammation that not only stayed, but changed. This change is why it is difficult for it to resolve.

Something earlier disrupted the information the immune system was receiving to make the inflammation no longer helpful.

What DISH Coaching Looks Like

DISH Coaching is not about diagnosing or treating illness.

It’s about helping you:

  • Learn how to view your experience through the DISH framework

  • Identify patterns in your own health journey

  • Apply this perspective in your daily life

  • Ask better, more targeted questions

  • Feel empowered

  • Or even, feel better before you are better

This is a collaborative, educational process—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Because your experience is individual.

Why the DISH Framework Matters

When we shift where we look, we may start to notice things differently.

This doesn’t replace other approaches.

Instead, it may help explain:

  • Why some methods work for some people… but not others

  • Why progress can feel inconsistent

  • Why symptoms don’t always match what standard tests show

  • Or if you are like me, it made the methods that didn't work for me to now work

For some, this shift helps:

👉 Methods begin to work differently

👉 Patterns start to make more sense

👉 Progress feels more possible

Sometimes, it’s not about doing more…

It’s about seeing the problem from a different starting point.

Who DISH Coaching May Be For

DISH Coaching may be helpful if you:

  • Feel like you’ve tried multiple approaches without clear results

  • Have been told everything “looks normal,” but you don’t feel normal

  • Are navigating chronic fatigue, autoimmune challenges, or unexplained symptoms

  • Want a different way to understand what’s happening in your body

Important Note

DISH Coaching is based on a working hypothesis and personal experience.

It is:

  • Not medical advice

  • Not a replacement for medical care

  • Not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition

It is a perspective-based approach to teach you about the Defensive Individual Shield Hypothesis and how understanding it changes a person's view about health challenges.
